Arnold grew up in a household where affection was replaced by authoritarian discipline, a cycle he was determined to break. Even after a lifetime of emotional distance, he spent eight years as the sole caregiver for his mother through dementia and Parkinson’s. Arnold’s work with "brain fitness" for children is his way of ensuring the next generation doesn't have to spend their adulthood unlearning the conditioning of their childhood.
